My favorite quotation on advertising, plus a corollary.

“I have always believed that writing advertisements is the second most profitable form of writing. The first, of course, is ransom notes.” – Phil Dusenberry
While Dusenberry may have had the best quotation on advertising of all time, the great Norm Campbell, his boss at BBDO, had without question the best quotation on Dusenberry:
“I gave him an unlimited budget and he exceeded it.”
